The QTP course covers current practices in working safely and verifying compliance of electrical installations.
It encompasses working safely, procedures for rescue from contact with live parts and for applying emergency first aid. It also encompasses current practices in visual inspections and mandatory compliance testing, identifying non-compliance defects and mandatory reporting requirements.

The QTP course is delivered via a workbook, online learning and a one day face‐to‐face assessment. The online lessons can be started at home or at the workplace with a resource booklet posted in the mail with additional questions to be answers that are based on AS/NZS 3000. The two self-paced activities are designed to prepare you for the one day session which is held at Term Training offices on the Gold Coast. Both the online learning and written questions are required to be completed prior to attending the mandatory one day assessment.

The learning material that is posted to students includes areas such as mandatory testing requirements, voltage drop, cable selection and electrical safety. You will require a copy of AS/NZS 3000 for your study and assessment. The two self-paced parts take ~15hrs to complete. To complete the course, students are required to attend a final face‐to‐face assessment that includes a theory and practical component. This one day assessment is conducted at Term Training’s office in Molendinar on the Gold Coast. Assessment dates are available on the Term Training online calendar.
