Qualified Business Person (QBP)

The Term Training Electrical Contractors Course is made up of two parts, a business and a technical course which set out by the Electrical Safety Office of Queensland.

The QBP course is designed to educate and inform learners about the legislative, regulatory, electrical and business requirements associated with electrical contracting.

The course is delivered part-time, via-correspondence where a workbook is sent in the post. The workbook contains the learning material and the associated assignments for this unit. Support for this course is via email and online through a discussion forum which can be accessed once enrolled. This unit takes approximately 35 hours to complete (depending of students past experience). There are no pre-requisites for students entering this unit.

After successful completion, you will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment for the following units:

UEENEEE101A – Apply Occupational Health and Safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
UEENEEG175A – Develop plans and compliance policies to conduct a electrical contracting business
BSBSMB401- Establish legal and risk management requirements of small business or approved equivalent

These units satisfies the QBP requirements in Queensland for persons applying for a Queensland Electrical Contractors License.
